Paul Heyman's booking of the fan-titled 'SmackDown Six' was perhaps the finest achievement of his WWE career (beyond negotiating the part-time deal he has today), and this fatal four way between the majority of the moving parts within the triple team feud was the second best (more on that later) television exhibition of them all in action.

Buffered by pay-per-view battles (including utter screamers at No Mercy and Survivor Series) that autumn, Edge and Eddie Guerrero went into a Number One Contenders battle with perpetually bickering buddies Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle o give the feud a sense of finality before the former Olympian strolled back into the main event picture ahead of a WrestleMania run with Brock Lesnar.
