Unquestionably, the most shocking match of John Cena's whole career came at the hands of 'The Beast' Brock Lesnar at Los Angeles' Staples Center in the main event of SummerSlam 2014. WWE fans had become so accustomed to seeing John take any level of ass kicking, before rolling up his jorts and finding a way to emerge victorious, that the sight of him being manhandled, defiled, and broken like Bane dismantling Batman in Knightfall seemed implausible.

After being hit with an F5 less than 35 seconds into the contest, this was the night that 'Suplex City' was born as John Cena took a ridiculous 16 German Suplexes in the most one-sided contest of his career. That only tells half of the story, though, as the real gold can be seen in the crowd, where people cannot comprehend what they're looking at, as WWE's Superman was reduced to ruin.

Sure, Lesnar might be a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, a legend at NCAA level, and one of the youngest WWE Champions of all time, but this is John Cena. Only on this night, John Cena never looked more mortal. As Lesnar trash-talked the entire time and Heyman laughed and counted each German Suplex with maniacal glee, this is an uncomfortable yet vital watch.
