John Cena made the biggest statement of his young career at WrestleMania 21. Rocketing from opening the card at the previous year's show to being second from the top of 'Mania 21's card, Cena won his first WWE World Championship from JBL. It was a landmark moment, but the match itself was a bit of a turkey.

No such accusations could be made of their match the following month, as Cena and JBL took part in an I Quit match at Judgment Day. In what turned out to be an absolute war, both men wrestled as though they knew they had not delivered to their full capabilities at the biggest show of the year and were determined to right that wrong.

The two went hell for leather in the encounter, bleeding profusely with Cena taking everything JBL had to throw at him. Bradshaw hit Cena with the mother of all chair shots, doing some excellent mic work during the match to berate the newly crowned champion. Cena returned fire by putting JBL's head through a TV monitor and a limo window, before the challenger quit as Cena was about to smash him with a giant exhaust pipe.
