Which AEW star got real on their Instagram this week?
Despite the fact that temperatures are dropping and fans/wrestlers would rather be donning anything but a swim suit at this current moment in time, AEW presented their Beach Break special edition of Dynamite this Wednesday.
But the question is; Which All Elite performers sank in the sea of pressure and competition, and which thoroughly kicked their feet and swam against the tide?
Eddie Kingston found himself on the losing side of a Lumberjack contest against bitter sparring partner Lance Archer, with the 'Murderhawk Monster' setting himself up nicely for a show-closing appearance. Thunder Rosa wasn't able to overcome the dastardly tactics of Britt Baker and Reba/Rebel. And The Inner Circle's Chris Jericho and MJF managed to outlast every other unit in the Tag Team Battle Royal, earning themselves a mouthwatering AEW World Tag Team Championship match against The Young Bucks at Revolution.
This night undoubtedly belonged to two stand-out angles, though.
Firstly, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford's wedding celebrations were squashed by 'Freshly Squeezed', no doubt setting up a match between 'The Best Man', the groom, and two best friends having the time of their lives.
Sending the small crowd home with their jaws dangling off their faces, however, was the main event of Beach Break which saw AEW World Champion Kenny Omega & Impact World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers taking on Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix & PAC. Though the action was about as spectacular as you'd expect, the real headline came shortly after Fenix ate the pin.
Paving the way for a NJPW talent share going forward, KENTA arrived post-match to beatdown rival Moxley, literally exploding the internet and ensuring All Elite Wrestling will never be the same again.
