More Kane madness as I begin the top 10, with poor ol' JR the recipient of his violence this time. Kane's reign of complete terror had recently begun, and Jim Ross was tasked with sitting down to interview the Big Red Monster in the hope of getting to the bottom of it all. Well, good luck JR.

Believe it or not, the interview actually seems to go fairly well for a while. JR is a professional if nothing else, and Kane reaches out to the legend for help. Unfortunately, this doesn't materialise. Kane becomes more threatening, and an intervention from Stone Cold Steve Austin just seems to make things worse.

What happened next is still etched in the memory wrestling fans to this day. Kane explains that JR needs to feel his pain, at which point he knocks him down and covers him in gasoline. Moments later, JR is on fire (kind of). Yes, Kane set Jim Ross on fire.

Kane in 2003 was pretty darn terrifying.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
