The New World Order arrived in the WWF at the beginning of 2002, originally posing as the 'poison' that Vince McMahon threatened to inject into the company in order to regain control. Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash initially attacked The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, but Hogan was soon out of the group after losing to Rocky at WrestleMania.

The black and white needed to regroup and regroup they did, re-consolidating after Mania and bringing in old friends as members. On the June 3rd episode the group grew in size once more, with the truly shocking return of 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. HBK had been gone from WWE TV for some 18 months after relinquishing his commissioner's role, and many felt he was gone for good.

Shawn in the nWo didn't really work out, as the group disbanded fairly soon afterwards. Even so, his return is definitely worth checking out on the WWE Network ($9.99 a month!).

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
