Some moments are forever frozen in time as legendary from the very moment they occur. Never is this statement more true than in the sport of professional wrestling and the conclusion of this match is definitely one of those moments.

When Sting finally defeated Ric Flair for his very first World Title at the the 1990 edition of the Great American Bash, the image of Sting celebrating victory atop the shoulders of the Steiner Brothers was instantly iconic; however, the match that preceded that moment was just as memorable.

This Sting/Flair bout has everything you could want in a wrestling match; heel run-ins, babyface enforcers, a vocal crowd, great commentary, quality wrestling, false finishes and, finally, a brilliant conclusion.

While Sting and Flair squared off countless times over the course of their storied careers, this main event match-up at the Great American Bash ‘90 has an undeniable X factor to it and can stake a valid claim as being up there with their very best.
