20 New Network Shows WWE Is Considering

3. WWE Promo Battle

WWE talents go head to head in "improv wars" in a tournament style setting where the audience and social media as well as a panel of judges determine who moves forward until they crown a promo battle champion.

While in theory that sounds like a fun idea, I cant imagine something like this would actually benefit the performers involved. I don't think that promos are something that should be treated as improv stand-up comedy skits, and rather than having workers compete for a panel of judges and social media votes, they should be plying their trade on TV and house shows and trying to constantly improve.

Next thing you know we'll have feuds on Raw over who won an improv promo battle that a tenth of the audience actually watched. The execution could actually be fun - outside of the fact that Bray Wyatt and Paul Heyman would remain undefeated forever unless they faced each other - but I think it would have a negative effect on the overall product.
