20 Scariest Wrestling Moments Ever

4. Mankind Attacks The Undertaker For No Reason

The night after WrestleMania XII, a new superstar debuted - the twisted Mankind, who had been the subject of boiler room-set vignettes for weeks leading up to his arrival. Mankind wore a leather mask, cavorted with rats, and generally seemed to be a fearsome individual - a suspicion which was confirmed when he decimated Bob Holly in his first WWE match.

Later that night, The Undertaker - who had defeated Diesel the previous evening - faced off with Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, putting him down with a Tombstone. The Undertaker attempted to pin Bradshaw, but he was attacked by Mankind, who rushed The Phenom and began brutalizing him around the ringside area. The most frightening aspect of the beating was how random it was - there was absolutely nothing prior to the attack to suggest that Mankind was after The Undertaker, and nothing about his debut suggested he was looking to single out anyone in particular.

Announcers and fans could only chalk the vicious attack up to Mankind's demented nature, watching as he continued to hurt a beloved superstar and sparked a feud that would last for years.
