20 Superstars Who Only Had One Championship Reign In WWE

Brutus Beefcake is pictured here holding the WWF Tag Team Championships with Hulk Hogan. This never actually happened. Brother Bruti and The Hulkster did defeat tag champs, Money Inc., at WrestleMania IX, but did not win the titles due to some nonsense involving a mask.

This picture does serve as a nice reminder that, even though Beefcake was best friends with the biggest star the WWF has ever had, he couldn't manage more than one measly championship reign. Ol' Beefers debuted for the WWF in 1984 and soon formed a tag team with Greg "The Hammer" Valentine The self-proclaimed "Dream Team" pursued World Tag Team Champions, The US Express, and eventually captured the gold in 1985.

The Dream Team spent the better part of a year holding the belts before coming up against the aforementioned British Bulldogs at WrestleMania II. Beefcake somehow never got his hands on a title again in the WWF despite being a very popular performer and best mate of Hulk Hogan. Whilst he was never going to become the top champion, Beefcake seemed primed for at least an Intercontinental Championship run.

However, for whatever reason, this never materialised, and we got the WrestleMania IX rubbish instead. Yay.
