The owners and stars of World Class Championship Wrestling, Fritz Von Erich and his sons were basically royalty down in Texas. Fritz's fourth son, Kerry Von Erich, was good-looking, charismatic, and a whirlwind in the ring, which might explain why the WWF named him "The Texas Tornado" when he arrived there in 1990.

The Tornado was seemingly destined for big things in the fed, as at that year's SummerSlam he defeated Mr. Perfect to win the Intercontinental Championship. After losing the belt back to Perfect three months later, The Tornado lingered in the upper-midcard before returning to Texas. Sadly, this came not long before Kerry's tragic suicide in early 1993 - the third of the six Von Erich sons to take their own life.

From a once-promising young star to a tragic tale of the toll the wrestling business can take on a person's mental health, Kerry Von Erich's life and career did not go the way many people expected. Despite his short life, Kerry leaves behind an incredible legacy of matches, moments, and memories, and that includes his one title reign in the WWF.
