One of the key objectives of the Money in the Bank ladder match is that it holds the potential to propel a star from the mid-card to the main event.
And on the most part, that principle has been adhered to pretty clearly when booking the eventual winners.
Of the 14 different winners of the match, all but two were world title virgins who had never captured a top-tier title in the company. Those two exceptions were John Cena and Randy Orton, who later helped to put CM Punk and Daniel over Bryan respectively, so in some ways you could say that their wins were still orchestrated with the enhancement of other talents in mind.
