When it comes to retirement angles, WWE plays fast and loose a lot. But they take retirement matches at Wrestlemania super seriously. When Shawn Michaels retired in 2010, he stayed retired for five years despite rumors of him working one more match. Steve Austin didnt announce his retirement, but his last match at Wrestlemania 19 against The Rock has remained his last match for more than a decade. Ric Flairs last match at Wrestlemania 24 against Shawn Michaels was supposed to be similarly final. However, Ric has ex-wives to pay and bar tabs to pick up, so he needed to make more money, money he wasnt going to make on a Legends deal with the WWE. So when Ric and the WWE parted ways in 2009, Ric jumped to TNA and started wrestling for them, completely spitting on his retirement stipulation with WWE. Thoughts on this list?
