The formation of new stables always makes for an exciting segment, and while the coupling of Stardust with the Ascension might not be the most earth-shattering team-up, they certainly kicked off life together in exciting fashion. The scene seemed to be set for yet another Neville vs Stardust clash, only for Konnor and Viktor to jump the Englishman as he made his entrance, beating him senseless and dragging him to the ring. After a slightly prolonged beatdown, Stardust announced the formation of 'The Cosmic Wasteland'. It remains to be seen whether the group will recruit more members of stop at three, but either way, this angle should put rumours of a Cody Rhodes face turn firmly to bed.
