1. Jericho Feuds With CM Punk - 2012
In a dream feud for fans, Chris Jericho and CM Punk battled during the early part of 2012 to determine who truly was the Best in the World.
Jericho had privately hated Punk for calling himself the "best in the world", a phrase Jericho had used in the past. He felt other wrestlers were ripping him off for their own personal gain and wanted to put a stop to it.
Jericho won a match to be named the number one contender for Punk's WWE title at Wrestlemania XXVIII and decided to play some mind games with the usually unflappable champion.
Jericho discovered that Punk's father was an alcoholic and his sister was a drug addict, causing Punk to adopt his trademark Straight Edge lifestyle. Jericho vowed to turn Punk into an addict just like his family and would do it by taking his WWE title.
At WrestleMania, Punk successfully defended his title from Jericho but the veteran was not finished. He brutally attacked Punk on Raw, dousing the non-drinker with beer and hard alcohol, evening dumping it in Punk's nose and mouth.
The feud was finally ended at Extreme Rules when Punk vanquished Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight, ending Jericho's latest attempt at the WWE title.
