25 Hidden Gem PPVs To Watch On WWE Network

6. One Night Only 1997

One Night Only in September 1997 was WWE's attempt at testing the international pay-per-view market. Available only in Europe, the show was headlined by D-Generation X's Shawn Michaels challenging European champion, the the UK's own, "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith. With his family sitting ringside, many hoped that the Bulldog would emerge victorious, scoring the biggest win of his singles career and retaining the title he so proudly carried since the previous February. In a rematch from SummerSlam, WWE champion Bret "Hitman" Hart defended against The Undertaker in a contest that ranks among the best that those two ever had. The crowd was hot, the competitors motivated and the end result was something truly special, a shame considering only a small percentage of fans were actually able to witness it. Thanks to WWE Network, this hidden gem of a show has been unearthed, allowing fans to witness both of those classic contests, as well as excellent in-ring battles between Dude Love and Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Vader and Owen Hart.
