3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 7)
Downs...
5. They're Convincing Nobody
So, as predicted, the women's "Showcase" match at 'Mania meant nothing after all. Despite winning it, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are nowhere to be found, and the random Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan tandem is being lined up for a crack at the Women's Tag belts instead.
They'll work with Becky Lynch and Lita on Raw, so WWE handed them a routine win over Natalya and Shotzi (why is that still a thing?!) on Smackers. Being brutally honest, people just do not give a rat's ass about any of this. Why should they? The Women's Tag-Team Title division is an absolute mess at times.
Genuine buzz is borderline-impossible for these teams to generate when they're thrown together willy nilly, warmed up for a title shot then forgotten about within the span of a few months. This tag might've been one of the most skippable matches of your entire wrestling week.
Meh.
