5. The Women Go Revolving Door

Oh dear.

This revolving door style promo did give the women plenty of folks to bounce off of when ranting, but it still wasn't particularly interesting. Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Naomi and Jade Cargill delivered a 'now it's my turn' style promo segment that really didn’t go anywhere. It was just another blatant time killing exercise from Triple H’s creative team.

Sometimes, that’s fine, but there wasn’t a lot to chew over here. Also, big laugh for Bianca claiming that this could be her last night on SmackDown if she wins the belt. WWE rubbishes its own brand separation thing weekly, and there were multiple workers from Raw on this same episode. So, Belair’s claim didn’t exactly hold any weight. Why would anybody believe that she'd be barred from showing up on Fridays even if she moved to the flagship on paper?

Bizarrely, because she's been largely plucked out of the Naomi and Jade Cargill issue then put between Rhea and IYO, Bianca has lost a little of the emotion she carried as a character. A segment opposite Naomi on the 7 March SmackDown was simply outstanding, but then the writing staff pressed pause in favour of other things.

Therefore, when Naomi and Belair tried to get something going here, it fell a tad flat. There is money in the thought of Ripley and Cargill locking horns someday, but this part of the show generally came across as hollow and lazy. Chucking loads of bodies through the curtain and hoping for the best isn't good enough.
