3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Feb 24)

1. They’ve Created A Monster

Charlotte Flair Rhea Ripley Dominik Mysterio

WWE's writers sent Dominik Mysterio out there to verbally spar with Charlotte Flair instead of Rhea Ripley for a reason. They're fully aware that Flair's smiley babyface gig is fooling nobody, and that Royal Rumble winner Rhea will get cheered over her.

So, in short, this feud is gonna be a weekly headache.

It's damning that Dom was plonked into things just so Charlotte didn't get booed out of the building. That, yet again, shows how unpalatable Flair is to the core audience as a happy babyface. Also, and here comes another whinge, nothing really happened when Ripley did show up.

Surely renegade Judgment Day members like Rhea and Dominik would seize the day and get physical with Flair two-on-one. No? No. Everyone stood around as Charlotte held her belt aloft, then the segment ended without incident.

Thrilling.
