3 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Jan 10)

1. The Dregs Of The Women's Division

Carmella Lunde

After a backstage segment designed to set up a Smackdown Women's Title rematch between Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss, we went to the other end of the spectrum - Carmella (with James Ellsworth in tow) was in action against local talent CJ Lunde.

Lunde looked like a 1930s-era women's wrestler, complete with one-piece gear. I guess the draw of this was supposed to be that JBL didn't know who to make fun of between Lunde (whom he referred to as "Millie Burke," calling her Mildred Burke's great-granddaughter) and Ellsworth, but it probably wasn't amusing to anyone watching. The match itself was terrible, with Ellsworth interfering on Carmella's behalf and "The Princess of Staten Island" winning with the Code of Silence.

Thankfully, next week's women's match should be a whole lot better.
