3 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 30)
2. Same Old Hyperbole Without Payoff For Bray Wyatt

It's baffling that WWE are continually beating their heads against a brick wall when it comes to Bray Wyatt. The man is an alluring personality and one of the absolute best talkers the company have, but he's repeatedly made to look like a chump when push comes to shove. A feud with Randy Orton looks sets to continue that trend.
At Backlash, Orton and Wyatt will collide. The match will no doubt be enjoyable, both men are superb pieces of talent. That's the not the problem, issues arise when looking at the content of Bray's promos. Without fail, he threatens to send his opponent's world crashing down around them, then inevitably comes up short.
Maybe WWE will elect to shock everyone at Backlash by actually having Bray back up his bold claims, but that's unlikely. Randy is coming off a loss to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, he arguably needs this victory to regain some traction. Once again, that leaves Wyatt stranded.
