3 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 30)
1. Main Event Fails To Deliver

Dean Ambrose has always favoured an unorthodox style between the ropes, he's not a prototypical WWE Champion. Naturally, this is a good thing, Ambrose represents something different at the top of the card. He deserves to be protected by being placed in matches that suit him.
A near 15-minute slog against Baron Corbin is not representative of that idea, Ambrose visibly struggled to pull anything worthwhile out of his lesser-experienced peer. Corbin has lost some steam since the brand split, but it looks like he's heading for a rivalry against Kane. Maybe working with that veteran will iron out some kinks.
It wasn't really until AJ Styles became involved that SmackDown's main event came to life. Before then, it was an awkward mix of brawling and stalling from Corbin. There have been some great main events on WWE programming lately, this - sadly - wasn't one of them.
