3 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 9)

4. Poor Dean Ambrose Needs A New Rival

Dean Ambrose went from main eventing three special events in a row in Payback, Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank to the guy that has no feud heading into Battleground. What happened? He wrestled Bo Dallas on both Raw and Smackdown this week, which is an example of how lazy WWE booking is. The difference between the two matches is that while Ambrose finished off Dallas easily in the first match in a few minutes, this match went almost ten minutes. Even though Ambrose is wildly popular with the fans, management doesn't seem to know what to do with him. Earlier this year it was the same problem because he really didn't have anything going on. It was only his Rollins feud that made him feel worthwhile. Ambrose should be considered a priority to the creative team, not just some random wrestler on the roster.
