3 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's Impact Wrestling (Aug 23)

Downs...

6. Johnny's Pool Party

Johnny Impact and Kongo Kong haven't been seeing eye to eye for a while now and even though Kong has been taken under the wing of Jimmy Jacobs and working against someone the calibre of Impact, he still isn't very good. There's just something about him that doesn't click. His time spent in Impact so far has been less than subpar.

Kong made the mistake this week of attempting to attack Johnny Impact while he was enjoying some time next to the pool. With Kong being a slightly larger man, it was of course him that took a tumble in to the water. Impact have been trying to build him up as the new monster as a successor to Abyss but with segments such as this making it to air, their endeavours have severely failed.

Within a matter of minutes, Kongo Kong's career in Impact Wrestling took another serious bump. Unless something drastically changes, don't expect to see Kong regarded as an unstoppable force in Impact.
