Only three men have competed in more WrestleMania matches than Kane, though their appearances definitely garner a lot more attention and place much higher on the card these days. Still, his seven Mania wins tie him for sixth all-time, one more than Shawn Michaels. Kane won the ECW Championship at WrestleMania XXIV, participated in multiple Money in the Bank ladder matches, lost to his brother the Undertaker twice (XIV and XX) and terrorized former baseball great Pete Rose repeatedly. He defeated Randy Orton, lost to Kurt Angle and defended the World Tag Team Championships with Big Show. While Kane is clearly winding down his in-ring career, one still has to marvel at its longevity, especially in the context of 16 WrestleMania matches.
Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fondly remembers watching WrestleMania III, IV, V and VI and Saturday Night's Main Event, came back to wrestling during the Attitude Era, and has been a consumer of sports entertainment since then. He's written for WhatCulture for more than a decade, establishing the Ups and Downs articles for WWE Raw and WWE PPVs/PLEs and composing pieces on a variety of topics.
