The finish of WrestleMania VIII was botched, hilariously, when Papa Shango failed to arrive in time, forcing Sid Justice to kick out of Hulk Hogan's leg drop in a particularly ballsy called audible. He was set to interfere purely to set up the Ultimate Warrior's grand return, which wouldn't have worked even if he was on time. Warrior's physique had shrunk to such an extent that fans thought Jim Hellwig had died and been replaced by an impostor. Even Renegade had more meat on him.

A promotion both cursed (of its own doing) and out of time, the visual of a corny voodoo priest missing his cue could not be more apropos.
