It was hard to mistake the feeling throughout the show that this was in effect a farewell for TNA fans, as though the crew all know that the company won't be surviving until October's planned Bound for Glory show. This tone was noticeable no more than an in early segment backstage with JB, where he said, "On a personal note, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to each and every fan, each and every business partner, every associate...it has been an incredible, incredible ride...It has been an incredible experience to work with some of the most incredible athletes in the world." Borash wasn't the only one, but the amount of past tense TNA references just made it feel like a funeral for the company, and cast a weird, dark pall over the whole show.
