38 Wrestlers Who Died In 2025
4. Bob Caudle (15 November)
Legendary wrestling announcer Bob Caudle passed away in his sleep, his son, Mike, confirmed. Caudle was 95 at the time of his death.
A politician and television weatherman before he got his break in professional wrestling, Bob began working under Jim Crocket, Sr. in the fifties, and would later become affectionately known as the voice of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling (originally Atlantic Coast Wrestling before Jim, Sr.'s passing in 1973). Not typecast as a character announcer in the vein of circa-2011 Michael Cole, Bob was a traditional broadcaster, remaining unbiased throughout his career behind the headset.
Despondently, Caudle's career withered into nonexistence as WCW began distancing itself from being an NWA affiliate. An attempt to continue his career in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling failed to withstand itself, and he called his final piece of action in early 1995.
