4 Ups & 1 Down From Ultima Lucha - Night 3

3. The Trios Match

Lucha Underground Johnny Mundo Jack Evans PJ Black Ultima Lucha
El Rey Network

Johnny Mundo, Jack Evans and P.J. Black are an absolute blast together. From their matching headbands to their magical air guitars that somehow play music, they are three of the cockiest, most infuriating and talented men in the company. Their match against Aerostar, Drago and Fenix lived up to the high bar of crazy action you’d expect from them. Actually, with Jack Evans' diving hand attack into Fenix’s butt, it may have jumped way over that bar.

We also got the return of Angelico who was badly missed this season with an injury. It looks like he’ll be setting up a feud with Mundo, which could be all sorts of amazing. Sadly, Lucha’s greatest a**holes lost the belts. Hopefully they still stick together for season three, as their brand of tomfoolery and nonsense puts the New Days’ to shame.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
