4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage: St. Patrick's Day Slam (Mar 17)
3. This Worked
Regular readers will know how hit-and-miss the squash game is on Rampage, but Taya Valkyrie getting an in-ring showcase after confronting Jade Cargill on Dynamite was one of the better ones. The debutant used "Jade's finish" too, which is actually a move she's been using for years.
That'll come in handy during their rivalry.
Every AEW fan is begging someone to come into the company and give Jade a positive pay-per-view match. Could that be Taya? Why not? Cargill has experienced far too many disappointments against a whole string of workers in the past, so it'd be great if Valkyrie's power game brought out the best in her.
Taya beating Ava Lawless was just long enough for the announcers to explain who she is and why people should care. Then, Jade and cronies came out onto the stage to have a look at Valkyrie's performance as Mark Sterling took some notes.
