4 Ups & 4 Downs For WWE Raw (27 Oct - Results & Review)

1. Bron Falling Off

WWE Raw The Vision Bronson Reed Paul Heyman Bron Breakker

What has happened to the unpredictable badass that was Bron Breakker? One would have thought that spearing Seth Rollins right off the active roster would have propelled Bron to the top, but he’s suddenly pumped the brakes and is acting… well, very un-Bron-like.

Breakker (and Bronson Reed) were removed from the battle royal to crown a second top contender for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship. Instead of raging, Breakker backed off at Paul Heyman’s insistence.

Monday night, a shockingly calm Bron talked about how they should have attacked everyone in the battle royal last week, only for Heyman to point out that they could have been suspended because Raw GM Adam Pearce was already pissed last week. He urged Bron to focus on the person who shares their vision about targeting the next world champion – LA Knight – and revealed that he had already gotten a match against the Megastar.

One problem here: LA Knight had just cut the promo announcing he was targeting the next world champ in the prior segment. Did Heyman waddle to Pearce’s office and back in six seconds?

For Breakker, this (and a very uneven match with Knight) was not a great showing. He’s suddenly coming across almost neutered – calmer, listening to Heyman with minimal pushback, when he was nearly uncontrollable when Rollins was around. Somehow, unleashing on Seth also released all his rage.

It feels as though we all missed an episode where Bron Breakker had a life-changing experience and Paul Heyman stepped in to convince him to ratchet down the anger and trust the process. There’s a missing chapter that could tie things together. Instead, Bron looks like he’s on prescription meds to tamp down the rage.
