4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 10)

3. A Match Rampage Didn’t Need

Jungle Boy
AEW

Jungle Boy squashing other wrestlers will always feel strange. It's not necessarily a size thing, but more of a style thing. JB doesn't work a power-based style, and he's already an established name with the AEW audience. So, did he really need to hammer Ryan Nemeth?

No, he didn't.

The skit's real purpose was only revealed when Brian Cage walked out for a staredown with Jungle. There's just one little problem with that: AEW has already sprinted through that bout at Dynamite: Winter Is Coming last December. Also, Cage is one third of the ROH Six-Man Tag Champs.

Is JB wrestling him for that belt, or is he buddying up with partners to try and take all three? None of that was made clear here. Being brutally honest, Rampage just didn't need any of this. Jack Perry gained nothing from beating Nemeth, and he'll gain nothing from feuding with Cage.
