4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 21)

3. Better Than The Alternative

Preston Vance 10 Orange Cassidy

Originally, Rush vs. 10 was supposed to hinge on the heels recruiting Preston Vance from Dark Order if they won. That absolute state of a story was a substitute for Andrade El Idolo trying to enlist wrestlers, and it felt like the kind of skippable fare that'd send Rampage viewers to sleep.

The good news? AEW called on Orange Cassidy to interrupt and randomly put his All-Atlantic belt on the line. That deleted the 10/Dark Order/Rush/Andrade drama from memory and meant fans got to see a secondary prize up for grabs in the Rampage main event instead.

That was the right call.

Despite some hiccups (the finish looked a bit naff), this was a solid three-way. Rush cuts an intense figure, 10 has potential as a power man and Orange knows when to pick his spots as the underdog. All three worked well together in the end.
