4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 20)

1. Running Through The Entire Division

Final moan, but it's a worthwhile one.

The women's division on SmackDown was already thin before WWE decided to book this ridiculous two-for-one burial. Both Zelina Vega and Carmella, who were bizarrely re-cast as Sasha Banks' back up previously, looked like absolute jobbers in back-to-back losses to Bianca Belair.

Remember this the next time WWE try to build Zelina or 'Mella as a heel threat to the champ. It'll happen - the women's scene just doesn't have enough strength in numbers or true depth for WWE to charge through the rest of 2021 without giving one of these women another hasty push.

Also, where is Toni Storm? She debuted amidst much fanfare last month then disappeared. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee don't even mention her anymore, and WWE hasn't even bothered to run some promos that keep her in the loop.

This division has gone down the pan.
