Man, everybody was experiencing major Fatal-4-Way burnout by the time the main event came along. There was nothing especially wrong with Cody Rhodes vs. Andrade vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, but the match type just had nothing left to say come headliner time. The opening half was a case of four guys going through the motions (although the first minute or so was admittedly blistering) in between ad breaks.

Cody was an obvious winner, and both Andrade and Shin are WWE bridesmaids. It was a total given that Rhodes was going to win considering Priest had set out intentions for the United States Title on TV beforehand and Cody was the one in John Cena’s face earlier that same night. WWE will get back to WrestleMania 41's Cena vs. Rhodes at SummerSlam and everyone knows it.

Unless...Trips fancies a curveball. Hmm, nah, it looks like Cena vs. Cody II is on the lineup in MetLife Stadium.

SmackDown's main event was a middle of the road match that skews towards ‘Down’ territory for coming at the end of a 4-Way glut. It's gonna be intriguing to see how WWE plays things with Priest and Jacob Fatu, who are both popular babyfaces, but they'll need to get something moving before Damian stagnates.

Rhodes was doing a little bit of treading water himself before getting the win for his team at Money In The Bank. Now, by virtue of this win, he rockets into the semi finals of KOTR and is a firm favourite to emerge as the tournament victor. He and his fans will forget this match in a hurry.
