4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 21)

1. That Creepy Ambulance Finish

WWE are mindf*cking the hell out of your writer.

He wants to like this feud between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman so badly, but that 'Swamp Fight' at Extreme Rules was almost too much to stomach. They did pull the nose up last week, in fairness, and this past Friday (aside from that wobbly 'Fun House' invasion) was another step forwards.

Nobody does creepy like Wyatt under that mask in modern pro wrestling. Also, the show's end was a positive sign that Braun's awful Universal Title reign is about to come to an end; Wyatt was placed in an ambulance and then emerged as the 'Fiend', almost like WWE were admitting that Braun can't kill the monster.

Hopefully, this means Bray will win SmackDown's top prize at SummerSlam and Strowman can go back to chucking people about like empty jackets every night. The brand really needs to put a line under his dreadful stint as champion.

Was this a subtle spoiler? Could be.
