4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 6)

1. The Chain Of Command

Roman Reigns Paul Heyman
WWE

There was so seismic shift in the Roman Reigns and Jey Uso story this week; no Daniel Bryan attacks, no 'Tribal Chief' beatdowns and no tears from a soldier falling in line. That doesn't mean that WWE didn't further the tale and give more identity to the "chain of command" though.

Paul Heyman tried to 'hit down' at Jey for cutting a promo with Kayla Braxton without Roman's permission. Later in the night, Reigns got on at Paul E for failing to keep Uso in line - he said that it's Heyman's responsibility to take care of things like this, not his. That'd be waste of the champ's time.

That one story beat meant everything, and everyone played their role to perfection (as usual). Uso grimaced his way through scenes like a man who knows he's doing the wrong thing but is tired of rebelling, Heyman came across as a smug bully who was then put in his place and Roman is doing Roman things.

Long may this story continue. It's WWE's best.
