Few pick out small details better than Kevin Owens.

When chastising Jey Uso for suddenly doing Roman Reigns' bidding, KO admitted that he'd done a lot of bad stuff himself. Then, he explained why it was different: Owens chose to do such things on his own. Meanwhile, he says, Jey is blindly following orders like Roman's puppet.

It's awesome that KO explains this sort of stuff instead of just pretending he's a white knight sort of babyface because WWE cast him that way. He's excellent at installing shades of grey regardless of alignment, and that brings even the most incidental promos to life.

This simple context added so much to his mini-issue with Jey, and it built another layer on top of their forthcoming match. WWE should try to do more of this, because it really helps sell characters as living, breathing, evolving personalities.
