4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (24 Mar - Results & Review)
4. An IC Title Logjam

In some ways, WWE has an embarrassment of riches. They have several strong stars bubbling beneath the main event scene that are itching for a showcase opportunity at WrestleMania 41. The problem is that rather than creating strong, independent stories for each of them, it looks like a bunch of wrestlers are getting lumped in together into one mid-card title match.
Bron Breakker defended his Intercontinental Championship against Penta to close out Raw. The match itself was cruising along pretty well, with both men mixing in their offense and countering each other pretty nicely. However, the outcome was really never in doubt, especially once the Judgment Day appeared at ringside.
Sure enough, Dominik Mysterio caused a disqualification, leading to a Judgment Day beatdown that saw Finn Balor arrive and beat Bron with a steel chair. And when Dom gave the chair to Penta, the luchador turned on Mysterio. Balor laid both Penta and Bron out, leading to the perpetual losers Judgment Day standing tall.
All of this seems to be in service of a four-way IC title match at 'Mania, pitting Breaker against Penta, Mysterio, and Balor. It’s worth reminding everyone that Bron just defeated Finn and has beaten Dominik as well already, but hey, why not?
One last note: Bron Breakker’s spear has gotten noticeably softer recently. Bron leapt at Carlito for the spear on Monday night (same as Balor the week prior), hitting him with a fraction of the visible force that some of his earlier spears. Maybe there’s a reason for this, but if the selling point about Breakker is his speed and explosiveness, his finisher should hit like a runaway train, not a leaping hug.
