4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sep 24)

1. ‘Demon’ Destruction

Finn Bálor's input, unlike last week, was minimal.

Good, that's how it should've been. Bálor didn't need to work a match on this week's SmackDown - he only needed to end the broadcast looking strong before tangling with Reigns over the weekend. WWE achieved that goal, and even managed to insert a terrific visual for the folks at home.

The way Finn's 'Demon' loomed in the background behind Roman and The Usos was awesome. It was so dramatic, which suits this alter ego, and sold the aerial threat that his face-painted menace poses to the Universal Champ's cause. In a nutshell, this was a good job done well.

Cole and Pat McAfee yelled themselves hoarse as the show went off the air about how Finn's 'Demon' could wreck Roman's kingdom. It was a hot conclusion, one that added to the intriguing tease of supernatural babyface vs. imposing, realistic heel.
