4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (March 14)

2. Desperate For A Spot At WrestleMania

OK, yeah, let’s have this out here.

Pretend for one half-second that WWE is supposed to be the emulation of a real sport, or even a real entertainment show. Wouldn’t you want to have your biggest stars on the show? You would want current and former champs, influencers and talked-about personalities on the card, right?

How does that comport with Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins having to wrestle each other to find their way onto the card of a two-night WrestleMania? Rollins literally has won world titles in the main event of Mania. While Owens’ WM resume isn’t as impressive, he’s clearly one of WWE’s biggest stars.

But seeing both men desperately searching for a way onto the card is just stupid… especially when you realize that Logan Paul, Pat McAfee and Johnny Knoxville all are taking up spots on the card. That’s not to denigrate any of them, but if you’re trying to make this make sense at all, it doesn’t add up.
