4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (March 14)

Ups…

4. OK, That Was Impressive

We’ve been pretty hard on Omos for the past several months, and for good reason.

The big guy is immobile, barely capable of pulling off simple moves convincingly, and seems only able to have smaller guys bounce off him like ping-pong balls. So it was a pleasant surprise when he managed to hoist the similarly sized Commander Azeez into the air for a release vertical suplex Monday night.

The two giants had a stalemate lockup, but Azeez briefly got the upper hand with a few basic moves. But when he went for a suplex, Omos quickly reversed it into his own, then finished with a Tree Slam.

Don’t get it wrong, the match was trash. And Omos still can barely do anything. But for a glimmer of a second, he got a nice reaction for hoisting Azeez up and you felt like there was the slightest chance he might not be a total waste.

Regardless, it was a cool visual, and after being so down on Omos for so long, we’re going to give him a small “up” here.
