4 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (April 26)

2. Lashley Makes Great Points

What does it say when your heel champion actually makes good, valid points about defending his title?

It’s not clear, but Bobby Lashley really hit the nail on the head on Monday night when he talked about the possibility of defending his world championship in a triple threat match at WrestleMania Backlash next month. He and MVP noted that Lashley lost his United States Championship in a triple threat without being pinned, observing history could repeat itself. Lashley flatly said that any business involving his title that doesn’t include his input is “intentionally disrespectful.”

And while it’s up to the WWE officials what matches to book, you can’t blame him for having those views. Lashley sounded like a serious, well-reasoned heel champ rather than a delusional, ranting moron, and that’s refreshing.
