4 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 2)

2. A Dull Main Event

Drew McIntyre The Miz
WWE.com

Did anyone think that pseudo-comedy act Miz & John Morrison were going to defeat former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on Monday night?

Of course not, but we still had to sit through a 15-minute match to get to the conclusion, with McIntyre surviving Mr. Money in the Bank’s finisher and then pinning him clean in a 2-on-1 handicap match, just to make Miz look even more impotent.

That’s not to suggest that Miz should have won, but maybe you could protect him a little better. Make it a one-on-one match with Morrison on the outside providing a distraction here and there rather than a handicap match where both men actively beat on Drew. Or have him beat Morrison with Miz watching.

Unless Miz is going to cash in and lose, or cash in, win and immediately lose the title, you’re just setting him up to look like a chump, not a champ. In that case, they might as well have kept the briefcase with Otis and switched him to Raw with his girlfriend Mandy Rose and tag partner Tucker.
