4 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Talking Smack (Jan 10)

4. Up - Cage Match

Alexa Bliss
WWE

A twist from the norm on Talking Smack, Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss were both brought on to the show to build up to their historic Steel Cage Women's Championship Match taking place on next week's episode of Smackdown Live.

In a heated discussion well-chaired by both Renee and Shane, the two fired shots across the desk that were cutting, logical and well-delivered as the feud drove towards what will presumably be its climax in seven days.

Bliss has been a regular Talking Smack highlight, and this week was no different as she indignantly decried how nobody once sent 'Get Well' messages or gifts after Becky dislocated her shoulder (reeling off a side-splitting line about an apparent well-wish actually being an "oops, wrong number" text), and reminded Lynch that it was her that introduced the meddling 'La Luchadora' into their rivalry, lamenting her victim complex since things haven't gone her way.

Becky fired back in earnest, calling out Bliss' underhanded tactics in their previous matches, picking on Alexa's reliance on 'Harley Quinn' for her look and 'Mean Girls' for her attitude, closing with a side-eyed 'See You Next Tuesday' to sum up exactly how she felt about the Champion.
