4. Tag Champs Pass Test

Realistically, the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship match pitting champs Kayden Carter & Katana Chance against Raw superstars Nikki ASH & Doudrop could have been on NXT 2.0 any given week, but we get why it was here.

The champs, who finally reached the top last month after teaming together since before there were NXT women’s tag titles, needed a high-profile, signature win, and defeating two main roster stars on an NXT PLE was probably the best way to do it at this stage.

The KCs absorbed a bunch of punishment, hung with the overpowering challengers, and benefited from a Toxic Attraction distraction to retain the titles. It wasn’t pretty, but it was good enough to get the job done.

We’ll give this a pass on that basis alone, but this wasn’t anything more than a TV match.
