4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 9)
2. Strange Dynamic To Main Event Tag-Team Match

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair claimed on his own podcast that's he's much more excited to see Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam than he is for Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor. Sadly for the legend, a lot of fans who have witnessed the build to both matches may disagree, the latter is coming across as the more dynamic and exciting.
By contrast, WWE have muddied the waters by teaming Ziggler and Ambrose together on SmackDown. This was supposed to be an odd-couple pairing, using the story thread that WWE Champion and his challenger for the pay-per-view just couldn't get along. The thing is, Bray Wyatt was also involved.
There have been hints dropped that WWE could actually involve Wyatt in the SummerSlam bout as a third wheel. However, he was discarded crudely on SmackDown, and the main beef continued between Ambrose and Ziggler when the champ hit his Dirty Deeds DDT.
There's little to the story between both babyfaces that is truly enticing.
