4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Aug 9)

1. Bray Wyatt Doesn't Back Up His Words Yet Again

Worse yet, Bray Wyatt was booked to once more look foolish when he delivers those long-winded, almost poetic promos. Earlier in the broadcast, Bray claimed that SmackDown belonged to him, and that it is he against the world right now. His big words weren't backed up when push came to the shove.

There were hopes that the brand split would allow WWE to move away from this kind of tepid writing with Wyatt, he's worth so much more than that. Sadly, the more things have changed, the more they've stayed the same in regards to Bray. He is not being vindicated by his role on television.

Sure, it was Erick Rowan who suffered the pin fall loss during the tag-team main event, but Wyatt came across as mere fodder for both Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler. If WWE ever expect Bray to reach that next level, the way they handle him must change.
