Baron Corbin and Rhyno's brawl aside, the go-home show didn't exactly leave the fans breathless with anticipation for next week. NXT's stellar reputation of delivering when it counts will keep fans' excitement high, but for a lot of the matches on Unstoppable's card this was quite a subdued show. Bayley and Charlotte vs Emma and Dana Brooke was decided via a pair of backstage interviews and not one of the four women received a physical showing on the broadcast. This, combined with the strange decision to have Emma steal Bayley's headbands, and Dana Brooke so far underwhelming with her in-ring performances, means that this is the worst built feud on the card. Most of the performers are reliable hands so the match itself should be fine, but a physical confrontation (even backstage) would have served the feud much better. Likewise, the decision to not feature Enzo and Big Cass on the show at all was a puzzler. Carmella did a good job of bigging up her boys, but even seeing them backstage, still hurting from their beatdown last week would have fanned the flames. Ditto no appearance from Becky Lynch. Even the triple threat could have benefited from more intensity. Sowing the seeds of dissension between Balor and Itami worked well, but seeing them get taken out by Breeze for the second week on the trot, rather than come to blows, left the fans wanting more. Time was very tight, yes, but a few different booking decisions could have better served the Takeover build.
