1. Kevin Owens Is Better At Open Challenges Than John Cena
The best thing about WWE right now is how Kevin Owens has been booked in the last month as a "rookie" on WWE's main roster. It is the best example of how you can make a performer look strong and turn somebody into a star that was basically an unknown to the majority of your fans. Owens did a promo about how great he was prior to his NXT Title open challenge match and then he destroyed Zack Ryder in less than two minutes. When Cena faced Ryder on Raw it took him about six minutes to win. Cena's had matches that have gone as long as 15 minutes for his open challenge, yet Owens was able to win much easier. That makes Owens looks better than Cena, which is a big reason why Owen is such a confident heel. This is an example of how a strong heel is supposed to be booked. It's a wonder that WWE still knows how to book a heel in this kind of way considering how many heels either lose too often (Sheamus or Barrett as example) or only win because they got a lot of help (Rollins). Owens is a great performer worthy of his push, but WWE's creative team deserves credit as well because he is being treated like a big deal and that goes a long way in giving him credibility with the fans. Owens is the hottest thing going in WWE right now, so it's no surprise that he was the highlight of Smackdown during his first match on the show.
